Last week, 100 Women of the Hill Country came together to celebrate and support three local organizations making a significant impact in Boerne and the surrounding Texas Hill Country. As a group of women dedicated to giving back, we meet quarterly to connect with local charities and support causes that strengthen our community. Each quarter, we aim to donate $10,000 or more to a worthy cause. Our contributions strive to make a meaningful difference throughout Boerne and the Texas Hill Country. At this meeting, we were inspired by the incredible work of three local organizations serving our community.

CarePortal

CarePortal is a groundbreaking platform that uses technology to connect families in crisis with those who are willing and able to help. The platform allows people to respond to urgent needs in real time. CarePortal creates a bridge between those in need and generous individuals who are ready to lend a hand.

The beauty of CarePortal lies in its ability to foster community connections through technology. At any given time, users can log in to meet a need or submit one. This system ensures that support is swift and effective, enabling Boerne and Texas Hill Country residents to create an immediate, positive impact for families in crisis.

Families Especial

Families Especial offers essential services in foster care, adoption, and child placement across Texas. This private agency focuses on providing nurturing, stable homes for children in the foster care system while building lasting relationships between children and foster or adoptive parents. Their mission inspires hope and encourages growth for families throughout Boerne, Fair Oaks Ranch, and beyond.

The agency’s staff fosters strong bonds between children and parents. For families in the Texas Hill Country, Families Especial provides hope and is a critical resource for those navigating the complexities of foster care and adoption.

Hill Country Family Services

Hill Country Family Services (HCFS) operates to create lasting change for individuals and families in Kendall County. Their mission is to promote mental and physical wellness, stability, and independence for those in need. HCFS offers a range of services, from immediate needs such as food and financial assistance to long-term support through counseling and life skills education.

HCFS plays a vital role in the Boerne community, providing essential resources to individuals and families in crisis. By addressing both urgent needs and promoting lasting stability, they foster a stronger, more resilient community.

Our Grant Recipient

We proudly awarded Hill Country Family Services a $20,500 grant, recognizing their profound impact on Boerne and the surrounding area.

As always, a huge thank you to Melissa Ashley Photography for donating your time and talent to capture our event. Also, thank you to Fair Oaks Ranch Golf and Country Club for providing such a beautiful setting for our event!
